JÖRG SCHERLLIN

Jörg’s connection to classical music was made from an early age, being the grandson of an engaged singer with the Graz Opera.  He began by playing the flute, however his real passion for music was discovered when he accepted the invitation to be Nosgoth’s bassist.  It was not until after his studies at the Johan-Joseph-Fux Conservatory in Graz that he was really able to show his versatility as a bass player.  Through his studies of old English poetry, Jörg was able not only to write many of Nosgoth’s lyrics, but also find wonderful 19th century American and British poems to compose music to.
