REVIEW: Nosgoth - Lines Of Sorrow Self-financed, 2007
Points: 8,7/10
Last year i had the chance to review the first self financed work from the Austrian act Nosgoth. A few days ago the band sent me their first full length album with the title "Lines of Sorrow".
In this work the band included eight tracks and more than forty minutes of a combination of melodic metal and gothic metal. If you immediately think that another gothic metal band is here, i will tell you to be more careful because Nosgoth, even if they walk in this path, they have something magical in their music.
They aren't the typical metal band, first of all they have a great female singer who gives a theatrical line in the whole album with her beautiful voice. Also the band used the keyboards almost perfectly and most of their compositions are well written with impressive ideas and definitely you will need a lot of time to listen to this album in order to fully understand the things that Nosgoth have added here.
Definitely, with this album Nosgoth did the big step to the mainstream scene now they only need the help from a label in order to give more of themselves to the music one more time. Well done.
