Californian Mezzosoprano Solmaaz Adeli began her professional musical studies in 2003 where she sang under the Artistic Direction of KS Irene Dalis at Opera San José in California. She first came to Vienna in the summer of 2003 where she participated in an Opera Program at the Vienna Conservatory for Music and Drama under Austrian Tenor Manfred Equiluz. Solmaaz moved to Austria and has been studying privately with Natela Nicoli since November 2005. With the engagement of Solmaaz as Nosgoth’s singer, the band was able to really fuse a Classical and Metal style. After singing numerous Operas with Opera San José and Pocket Opera in San Francisco Solmaaz sang in Austria at Volksoper in “The Meistersinger from Nürnberg” and in the summer festival production of “The Tales of Hoffmann” with OperKlosterneuburg. She made her debut on Nosgoth’s first album “Lines of Sorrow.” Due to her career which led her to serveral other countries she had to quit Nosgoth in 2007.
